Introducing Our Plant-Based Leather Alternative Collection: Sustainable Accessories Handmade in England"
This is the story of how we continue to grow, learn, and innovate in ways that are kinder to the planet, people, and animals.
Our new capsule accessories collection began its journey three years ago, through a connection made through Fashion Revolution. We partnered with a visionary in material innovation, and together set out to create a thoughtful, plant-based alternative to leather for womenswear accessories.
After years of material research, development, sampling, and testing and with the support of the European Commission, we’ve brought the vision to life. What began with our first prototype, the mini Odette, has evolved into a full collection of shoppers and crossbody clutches.
This capsule collection is made using a plant-based leather alternative, tailor-made for us, and each piece has been hand-cut, stitched, and finished in Leicestershire by the incredibly skilled Zena.
Here’s how our new range came to life:

STEP 1
Our partners are deeply hands-on with the process, often harvesting or collecting grape marc directly from the organic and biodynamic vineyards. Nestled in Provence, a region celebrated for its stunning landscapes and rich winemaking heritage, the raw materials are sourced right from the heart of it all.

STEP 2
Grape marc, the byproduct of winemaking, consists of leftover grape skins, seeds, and stalks after pressing. Instead of letting this rich material go to waste, our partners transform it into something remarkable. The process begins by drying the marc under the warm Provençal sun, a natural method that helps preserve and prepare it. Once fully dried, it’s ground into a fine powder. The foundation for our plant-based leather alternative.

STEP 3
Next, the powder is blended with non-toxic, animal-free ingredients and natural pigments to create our plant-based leather alternative. This stage takes place in Italy, where skilled artisans merge innovation with tradition to craft a high-quality, sustainable material. The result is a beautifully textured, durable alternative to leather, designed to be kinder to the planet without compromising on performance or aesthetics.

STEP 4
Once the leather alternatives are ready in three distinct colourways, they’re sent to Leicestershire in the UK. There, each piece is carefully crafted into our new collection of handbags and belts, made with precision, purpose, and attention to every detail. The result is a collection that’s both striking and responsible, reflecting our commitment to sustainability, quality, and forward-thinking design.
Our new capsule collection marks an exciting step forward. The plant-based material we've used is a standout example of sustainable innovation, beautifully crafted, low-impact, and responsibly made. While this material helped shape this collection, we’re now looking ahead. We're actively seeking new partnerships with alternative leather innovators as we continue to expand our accessories line and push the boundaries of conscious design.
